Recording Guitar with Chad

October 15, 2008 | Filed Under Ramblings | No Comments

I had a great time in California Sound Studios last week while Chad recorded all his guitar licks.  He was definitely inspired.  It was a fun session and he was on fire.  Jesse was on top of his game in the control room working his pro-tools.  I sang a little and played a little guitar; but the night belonged to Chad Kulengosky as he played some mean grundgy power chords, some tight clean leads, and some back ground filler with all his effects.  I posted new photos on www.myspace.com/theworldofkc

It has been a wild ride and Chad delivered as promised.  I wish him luck with his new band I Am Ghost.  Great Band.  Great Sound.  Great Guys.  So check them out.

Recording My Album Tonight

September 16, 2008 | Filed Under Ramblings | No Comments

Yes, Yes, Yes it is true.  I am finaly going into the recording studio to record my album.  I will be starting the first 5 songs of the album tonight.  I will be going into the studio with my good friends Chad (guitar), Kyle (bass), and Jean (drums).  We will be meeting up at California Sound Studio where my buddy Jammin Jesse Wright will help me dial in my sound.  He is a great friend and I can’t wait to work with him and his family at California Sound Studios.  This album will be full of suprises for you and I think you will all find something that you enjoy in it.  I will be working with a lot of different friends and family to get this done.  If all goes well then it should be ready for the Holidays at the end of the year.  I look forward to completing this project that I have been writing, practicing, and preparing for for years now.  I look forward to having an album to present to all of you that I will be damn proud of.
Thanks

Welcome Back Kyle

July 29, 2008 | Filed Under Ramblings | No Comments

For those of you who do not know Kyle left for Africa for a month.  While he was there he documented much of his travels with his video camera and still photo camera.  I can not wait to see some of his work.  Kyle is a photo journalist by day and bass player by night for KC and The Boozehounds.  Kyle left for Africa the same time Jean-Michel was coming home from his tour.  So obviously this had brought all our practice sessions to a screaming hault.  I was very happy to have Kyle back to continue on quest for excellence.  Then I got the news about Chad leaving for a month too, and maybe a year after that.  With Kyle back though him and I can once again start practicing again.  This makes me very happy and we will be getting together later on this week.  Welcome back Kyle.

Welcome Back Jean

Jean-Michel was gone for a month on tour with his other band.  Their name escapes me at the moment.  Sorry Jean.  He had a fast paced tour around the country and came back to California spent and completely wiped out.  Because he ran himself into the ground.  After a week of being sick and not going out much I finaly saw him.  It was great to see him and even greater to have him home again.  However, we have not been able to restart pratices since the day Jean got back Kyle left.  Hopefully we get back on schedule here real soon.  Welcom back Jean.

Dr. Casey Show

I was fortunate enough that a friend of mine got the opportunity to start her own sports talk radio show.  She asked me if I might be interested in writing a theme song for her new radio show.  So I excepted this challenge for many reasons.

So first thing I did was to make an appointment with my brother-in-law Christopher Brady.  He is a talented musician, composer, and publisher.  Plus he has a cozy studio that is easy to work in.  After a few hours we were well on our way and could not turn back.  Well now the song is all finished and ready for mass consumption.  Thanks to a little help from my guitarist Chad.

So stay tuned and I will let you all know when it airs.

In My World

So what is going on in my world right now?

I have a great group of guys I am currently working with.  We practice weekly to really hone in the sound needed for my songs.  Everything is proggressing very well.  We are getting ready for our first show together on May 16th 2008 at Boscoe’s Sports Grill in Lake Forest, California at 9pm pacific time.  That night is an album release party for my good friend Dope Boy Rock who is an up and coming hip hop artist with a lot of talent.  It will be a great show with a very diverse crowd and a lot of fun.  Make time to catch this show.  I will be doing more shows in the up coming months in southern California with my band.

Plans to go into the studio to record the new album are just slightly postponed.  The boys and I will be getting started on that fun roller coaster ride of recording in August of 2008.

The boys consist of:Chad Kulengosky on Guitar, Kyle Burlington on Bass, and Jean-Michel Graffio on Drums, And I am K.C. on Rythm Guitar and Vocals.

Thanks for Reading this Blog update.
